New Delhi The players are to be auctioned for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, the world’s most popular T20 league today. This auction to be held this afternoon in Kolkata. Earlier in the last 12 seasons, there has never been an IPL auction in Kolkata. This time the sapphire will start from 3:30 in the afternoon. The auction will begin in the afternoon and will run till late evening after two short breaks.
971 players had registered for the 13th season of IPL. Of this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India included 332 players in the final list of the auction. The auction will take place on December 19 at 3:30 pm. Noor Ahmed of Afghanistan is the youngest player in this auction, while 48-year-old Praveen Tambe is the oldest player.
The auction for the IPL 2020 will start in Kolkata on December 19 (Thursday) from 3.30 pm. This is the first time Kolkata has got the job of hosting an auction. This time the auction time has been changed. Earlier the auction was held in the morning but keeping in mind the prime time, it has been decided to start it this afternoon.
