The process of bringing back the stranded Indians abroad will begin in a phased manner from May 7, a statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said that only those who do not have symptoms of covid-19 will be allowed to return. It was said that travel will be arranged by others and the expenses will be borne by the traveler.
The ministry said that after coming to India, all passengers will be subjected to a medical examination and after that, they will be kept in a separate residence (quarantine) for 14 days. According to the ministry, the government has prepared the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in this regard and the Indian Embassy and High Commission are making a list of the stranded citizens.
The ministry said, “Passengers will have to bear the travel expenses. They will be brought by commercial flight. ” The Ministry said that before boarding the aircraft, passengers will be subjected to medical examination, and only they will be allowed to travel which will not have the symptoms of covid-19.
During the yatra, they will have to follow the rules issued by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The home ministry said, “After reaching the destination, everyone has to register on the Arogya Setu app.” The statement said, “All will be medically examined. After the investigation, they will be kept in isolation by the state government for 14 days. During this time they will have to bear their expenses. “
Fourteen days later, covid-19 will be investigated and further action will be taken as per health rules. Information in this regard will soon be shared on the website by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
