During the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, the campaigning efforts of leaders from prominent political parties concluded on Thursday. They intensified their efforts with rallies until the very last minute. On June 1, voting is set to take place in 57 parliamentary constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. This crucial vote will determine the destinies of 904 candidates vying for victory.

In the final phase, the electoral battleground will witness 13 seats up for grabs in both Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, with West Bengal (9), Bihar (8), Odisha (6), Himachal Pradesh (4), Jharkhand (3), and the single Lok Sabha seat in Chandigarh also in the mix.

Additionally, elections for 42 Assembly seats in Odisha are set to occur on Saturday.

The vote counting is planned for June 4. 

On the last day of campaigning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rallied in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held rallies in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to boost BJP candidates’ support.

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress member, campaigned for the party candidate in Balasore, Odisha, and later interacted with farmers in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab. 

Party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra led a roadshow in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, showcasing strong campaign efforts.

Both the BJP and the INDIA bloc leaders have dedicated significant resources to sway the voters in their favor.

The BJP-led NDA seeks a remarkable third consecutive term, while the Opposition INDIA bloc endeavors to reverse its electoral fortunes of the last decade.
